VM Greetings Definition

The VM Greetings Definition form is used to name the various Auto Attendant greetings for easier management. The system provides nine sets of greetings: a primary set and eight alternate sets. The alternate greetings are optional; define them only if they are needed.

Greeting

System-generated, protected field. Corresponds to the eight sets of greetings that can be assigned to voice mail ports in the VM Greetings form.

 

Name

A label that describes what the greeting is used for—for example, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, etc. Use the Change button to assign or edit the name for a selected greeting set. Name can contain a maximum of 20 characters.

Comment

Optional information about the greeting such as when it plays or when it was recorded/downloaded. Use the Change button to assign or edit the comment for a selected greeting set. Comments can include a maximum of 40 characters.
